In completion of the targeted project to ensure compliance with GDPR (ad hoc selected compliance actions) Journo News is required to implement a series of compliance measures, as these correspond to the following fourteen (14) deliverables.

Deliverables have been determined in accordance with the information provided by Journo News during the implementation of the project through questionnaires as well as through the exchange of phone calls and electronic messages. They attempt to address specific deviations from the GDPR in accordance with the instructions of Journo News.

 

 

  1. Remarks about the deliverables

 

With regard to the deliverables, the following must be mentioned:

 

  1. Deliverable no. 1 is the Personal Data Protection Policy for the website Journo News.

It must be studied and published on a special page of the Journo News website and a special link must be inserted on the central page of the Journo News website by the web hosting services provider.

On pages 1 and 9 the details of the Processor must be filled in, i.e. the details of the company provided that its establishment is completed.

  1. Deliverable no. 2 contains an information clause regarding the processing of the personal data of the website users in the context of their communication with the website through the filling in of a contact form.

 

It must be studied and implemented by the web hosting services provider.

  1. Deliverable 3 contains an information and consent clause regarding the processing of the personal data of the website users in the context of the creation of a user account.

It must be studied and implemented by the web hosting services provider.

  1. Deliverable no. 4 concerns the update of personal data processing for the subscription in the Subscribe field through the Journo News website.

It must be studied and published on a special page of the Journo News website and a special link must be inserted on the central page of the Journo News website by the web hosting services provider.

  1. Deliverable no. 05 essentially consists of two deliverables. It contains the necessary additional personal data processing information for subscribing via the Journo News website and the procedure to be followed. In addition, this deliverable contains the appropriate clause to revoke the subject’s consent to receiving the newsletter containing the available journalistic material of the selected category.

It must be studied and applied as described by the web hosting services provider and the company that provides Newsletter services on behalf of Journo News.

  1. Deliverable no. 06 is the text for the Withdrawal of Consent to receiving the newsletter for users who subscribe to the Subscribe field, through the Journo News website.

 

It must be studied and published on a special page of the Journo News website and a special link must be inserted on the central page of the Journo News website by the web hosting services provider.

  1. Deliverable no. 7 contains an information and consent clause regarding the processing of the personal data of the website users in the context of reporting of unwanted content.

  1. Deliverable no. 8 contains an information and consent clause regarding the processing of the personal data of the website users in the context of sending a quote.

It must be studied and implemented by the web hosting services provider.

  1. Deliverable no. 9 contains an information and consent clause regarding the processing of the personal data of the website users in the context of carrying out a purchase.

It must be studied and implemented by the web hosting services provider.

  1. Deliverable no. 10 is the update of personal data processing for the subscription to the Newsletter through the Journo News website.

It must be studied and published on a special page of the Journo News website and a special link must be inserted on the central page of the Journo News website by the web hosting services provider.

 

  1. Deliverable no. 11 essentially consists of two deliverables. It contains the necessary additional personal data processing information for subscribing to the Newsletter via the Journo News website and the procedure to be followed. In addition, the said deliverable includes the proper consent withdrawal clause regarding the reception of the newsletter.

It must be studied and applied as described by the web hosting services provider and the company that provides Newsletter services on behalf of Journo News.

  1. Deliverable no. 12 is the text for the Withdrawal of Consent to the reception of the newsletter through the Journo News website.

It must be studied and published on a special page of the Journo News website and a special link must be inserted on the central page of the Journo News website by the web hosting services provider.

  1. Deliverable no. 13 is the Cookies Policy for the website Journo News.

It must be studied and published on a special page of the Journo News website and a special link must be inserted on the central page of the Journo News website by the web hosting services provider.

  1. Deliverable 14 contains instructions for the setting up of a pop-up window on the Journo News website to inform users about the use of cookies by the website.

  1. Final Remarks

 

It is noted that the compliance of the company with GDPR was carried out based on the responses of Journo News to the relevant questions posed.  Any incomplete or incorrect information in the responses of Journo News shall exclusively burden the latter, which is obliged to provide the proper responses.

Furthermore, with regard to the acquisition of journalistic material, it is pointed out that this possibility is currently given to anyone registered on the website. However, this raises the question of the legality of the processing of personal data of persons appearing on the photos and videos posted on the website. Distribution to any user of the website indiscriminately constitutes in principle an illegal processing of personal data.

Thus, the website must be designed in such a manner that the possibility of obtaining journalistic material can be done strictly and clearly by the Media.
